Auld Betty is an old wives tale originating from Halifar, UK. She is believed to be a witch who would often appear in the form of a black cat. A shapeshifter. Seeking out an elderly man, who was hunting her with a cake set aside a fire, armed with a three pronged fork. Suddenly, the black cat was seeen, sat in front of the fire as if it had just appeared. 'Cake burns' the cat screamed at the man, the man lost his temper chasing the cat up a chimney, injured but it got away. The next day Auld Betty was ill in bed. Staying there for several days covered in scratches. The bad was relieved from the curse, but, he still believed that cat was Auld Betty. A4 print on 200gsm with cardboard backing.

The Barghest is a terrifying creature from Northern English folklore, most famously associated with Yorkshire. Typically depicted as a monstrous, coal-black hound with glowing "saucer" eyes and razor-sharp claws, it is often viewed as an omen of death or a guardian of the underworld. This collage piece is named after Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, who was flayed (skinned alive) and beheaded. These collage prints are inspired by the Medieval period, using elements of abbey ruins, chainmaille and weaponry for a unique spin on the modern revival.
